Contract Services are presently looking to recruit a suitable Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team in a full-time permanent roll.

Desired skill set is competency in Periodic Testing, Fire Alarm, Emergency Light Testing, fault finding and repair of commercial electrical systems. Along with electrical works and as part of your day to day, there will be general maintenance issues that you will be required to attend offering a more dynamic working environment.

This position will suit an individual who is highly motivated and safety conscious. You will demonstrate an ability to work on your own and as part of the team, you will be our company’s representative on site dealing with general staff, manager’s and owners with an attention to detail and ability to produce clear paperwork & reporting.

The position on offer is predominately whilst not restricted to the Leinster Area with a working day of 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.45pm on Friday. Safe Pass

Full clean driving license

As an Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer you will be based on a clients site in Belfast. You will be travelling to other sites within the Greater Belfast area for the same client using a company van.

A good knowledge of what is required to complete an EICR and the ability to report all deviations from the current BS 7671 is essential. The Fixed Wire Testing Engineer must have their 2391 or equivalent Testing and Inspection qualification, along with their 17th/18th edition wiring regulations qualification.

As a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer you will be carrying out Fixed Electrical Testing on sites on a rolling 5 year cycle and the completion of remedial repairs as required on sites you have just tested.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a multiple skilled team based on the client’s site in Belfast working in a professional manner in a Safety-first environment. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Full driving licence held for 12 months
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (or working towards)
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or 2330 levels2&3 plus NVQ 3, AM2
  • City & Guilds 17th Edition 2382
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition is preferred but not essential
  • Minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship experience
  • You must have an understanding of H&S in the workplace
  • Knowledge of Test and Inspection Procedures and software
  • To be able to meet the physical requirements of the role
  • IT Literate

Performing a variety of tasks involving Lighting repairs, Electrical services fault finding, Installation of new services and modifications to existing services.

What you’ll need to succeed.

We are keen to speak to Engineers who are electrically qualified to C&G Levels 2, 3 or Parts 1 and 2 along with 17/18th Edition IEE Regs.

Electricians who have experience working within commercial environments, carrying out all areas of maintenance and minor remedial tasks.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
