Magmel (Ballymena) Limited who own the shopping centre announced the new Primark store as part of a £7m investment in the shopping centre, revealing a target handover date of 2025 – with the construction of the new store creating approximately 80-100 jobs during the development project.

Exciting New Project: Contract Services Design Studio, were appointed by Kennedy Orthodontics to provide interior and furniture solutions to complete an exciting expansion to their Headquarters in Ballymena. The project included; a waiting area, clinical rooms, dentist shared offices, kitchen, storeroom, executive boardroom and a private office. Boss Myriad modular seating was the perfect choice for the waiting area, an infinite and versatile range offering maximum seating capacity. Allowing an increase to 30, with comfort at the forefront.

The polished cast aluminium leg detail compliments the vibrant red velvety feel upholstery Agua Sark. The combination is very striking set against the tonal carpet and works cleverly with the corporate brand. In the Clinical Rooms Boss Paloma visitor chairs offer comfort with a striking design. Finished in Camira Vita Koala with black powder coated steel four leg bases. In the Dental Offices the chosen workstations were Elite Optima Plus in white with black graphite framework, accompanied by Boss Paloma visitors’ chairs creating a feature in corporate red. The tactile upholstery is Panaz Highland Red with black steel four leg bases.

Following the successful completion of earlier projects. Musgrave appointed Contract Services Design Studio to undertake the interior design and refurbishment of their Belfast canteen and facilities.

The space has a modern look, creating a cosy atmosphere, finished in wooden elements with natural hues, and dark contrasts. The bespoke servery counter front, breakfast benches, joinery items, Elite Loco benches, and dining tables are all finished in Nebraska oak with black contrasting metalwork. The flooring is finished in Gerflor Creations Cedar Brown LVT, offering an oak look with grey and earthy brown undertones. All set against a white and grey back drop. The use of Biophilic design brings nature into the space with the dark hedges landscape feature wall and the planters throughout, creating a calm.

Exciting corporate installation for Willis Insurance’s new premises.

The waiting area is bright and spacious with perfect placement of the stunning Ocee Alfi L-shaped sofa with Black Titanium legs and tactile fabric Camira Canopy Admiral showcasing the corporate colour. The interior is also enhanced with the use of Biophilic design with ‘Mother in Laws Tongue’ in Anthracite Headrow High Planters. The Executive Offices offer a balance of mood, tone, and energy, the perfect place for executives to get work done, whether it is formally at their desk or more relaxed at their soft seating area. The furniture offering is rich and tonal with the Elite Windsor Executive Desking and Flare Storage finished in black Nanotec, walnut, and black. The Ocee Stretch L-shaped sofa and the Harc Armchairs provide modern comfortable seating with accents of corporate blue in the upholstery using Camira Aspect Rainer.

The boardroom is complete with a beautiful centre piece, the Elite Reflex Octagonal boardroom table in walnut and black graphite, complimented by agile Elite Tempo chairs in tonal black with contrasting white mesh. The collaborative breakout area on the top floor is for staff to relax and unwind. Musgrave appointed Contract Services Design Studio to undertake the Interior Design and refurbishment of their Belfast Reception space. The project included a full design and refurbishment.

The chevron LVT flooring, Nebraska oak with black nanotech furniture and tactile upholstery combined with the use of biophilic design creates a calm and elegant reception. All set against a white and grey back drop with subtle use of corporate accent colours and branding.

A new project for a new year. Contract Services Roofing & Cladding have been awarded the envelope package for a 5000m2 extension to the fabrication halls at Harland & Wolff by Cleary Contracting. The project will involve the installation of 8000m2 of Kingspan Cladding on the roof and walls.
The extension to the fabrication halls is part of a £77m investment in Harland & Wolff’s infrastructure in preparation for the construction of three new ships for the MoD.

Contract Services are presently looking to recruit a suitable Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team in a full-time permanent roll.

Desired skill set is competency in Periodic Testing, Fire Alarm, Emergency Light Testing, fault finding and repair of commercial electrical systems. Along with electrical works and as part of your day to day, there will be general maintenance issues that you will be required to attend offering a more dynamic working environment.

This position will suit an individual who is highly motivated and safety conscious. You will demonstrate an ability to work on your own and as part of the team, you will be our company’s representative on site dealing with general staff, manager’s and owners with an attention to detail and ability to produce clear paperwork & reporting.

The position on offer is predominately whilst not restricted to the Leinster Area with a working day of 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.45pm on Friday. As an Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer you will be based on a clients site in Belfast. You will be travelling to other sites within the Greater Belfast area for the same client using a company van.

A good knowledge of what is required to complete an EICR and the ability to report all deviations from the current BS 7671 is essential. The Fixed Wire Testing Engineer must have their 2391 or equivalent Testing and Inspection qualification, along with their 17th/18th edition wiring regulations qualification.

As a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer you will be carrying out Fixed Electrical Testing on sites on a rolling 5 year cycle and the completion of remedial repairs as required on sites you have just tested.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a multiple skilled team based on the client’s site in Belfast working in a professional manner in a Safety-first environment. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Full driving licence held for 12 months
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (or working towards)
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or 2330 levels2&3 plus NVQ 3, AM2
  • City & Guilds 17th Edition 2382
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition is preferred but not essential
  • Minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship experience
  • You must have an understanding of H&S in the workplace
  • Knowledge of Test and Inspection Procedures and software
  • To be able to meet the physical requirements of the role
  • IT Literate
